In mid-2024, Nigerian businesses that ran on Zoho opened an email they had half expected for four years. Prices were going up from August.
Zoho’s country manager, Kehinde Ogundare, told Techpoint that the naira had slid from about ₦350 to roughly ₦1,500 to the dollar in under two years. The fixed local price could not hold.
That episode is the right place to start any honest look at Zoho CRM pricing Nigeria buyers face in 2026.
The licence fee is only the first number. The second is the exchange rate, and the third is everything you bolt on after go-live.
Key takeaways
- Zoho lists CRM editions from free (three users) to Ultimate, at $14 to $52 per user per month on annual billing in its dollar price list.
- Zoho has committed to naira billing in Nigeria, but confirm the live naira quote before you budget.
- Annual billing is 30% cheaper than monthly on the Standard edition.
- WhatsApp messages, telephony, storage and implementation sit outside the licence.
- Most small sales teams start on Standard or Professional. Paying for Enterprise rules you never switch on is the most common waste.
What makes Zoho CRM pricing Nigeria-specific?
For years Nigeria was a special case for Zoho. In May 2020 the company announced fixed naira pricing for its apps. Zoho One started at ₦7,800 per employee per month, billed annually.
Then the currency moved. Ogundare said Zoho waited four years before revising prices, and the August 2024 increase followed. Zoho had pegged Nigerian prices after a Central Bank policy made dollar billing difficult.
The company has not left. At its Lagos event in September 2025, Zoho recommitted to local billing and naira pricing and reported 74.28% growth in Nigeria for 2024. Services, financial services, real estate, retail and education were its biggest local sectors.
So the naira option exists. The difficulty is that the figure moves with policy and the exchange rate.
We could not independently read Zoho’s Nigeria pricing page for this article, so we have not printed naira list prices. Ask Zoho or a partner for a dated quote in writing.
What does each Zoho CRM edition cost per user?
Zoho’s own edition comparison document lists these dollar prices, as of October 2026. Local taxes such as VAT come on top, which Zoho states on its pricing page.
| Edition | Billed annually (per user/month) | Billed monthly (per user/month) | Indicative naira, annual billing* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 (up to 3 users) | $0 | ₦0 |
| Standard | $14 | $20 | about ₦18,660 |
| Professional | $23 | $35 | about ₦30,660 |
| Enterprise | $40 | $50 | about ₦53,320 |
| Ultimate | $52 | $65 | about ₦69,320 |
*Converted at ₦1,332.99 to the dollar, the official closing rate on 12 October 2026 reported by Nairametrics from CBN data. This column shows what dollar billing would cost. It is not Zoho’s naira list price.
The gap between annual and monthly billing is real money. On Standard, monthly billing costs $6 more per user each month. For a ten-person team, that is $720 a year for flexibility you may not need.

Is the free edition enough for a small team?
For a founder and two sales staff, it can be a sensible first step. Zoho describes it as free forever for three users.
The limits arrive quickly, though. Zoho’s feature comparison caps free data storage at 5,000 records. Standard raises that to 100,000 records, and Professional moves to 10GB.
A Lagos distributor with a busy Instagram page can pass 5,000 contacts in months. Once that happens, you are choosing an edition under pressure rather than by design.
Standard, Professional or Enterprise: which do Nigerian teams need?
Zoho’s pricing page draws the lines clearly. Standard covers email integration, built-in calling, multiple pipelines, forecasting and custom modules.
Professional adds process management, inventory, CPQ for quotes, customer journeys and AI agents. Enterprise adds multi-team management, approval processes, a developer sandbox and field-level encryption.
Here is how that maps to typical situations in Nigerian firms:
- Standard suits a sales team of five to fifteen that needs one view of leads, follow-ups and a pipeline.
- Professional fits teams that send quotes, track stock or need a fixed sales process. Think a solar installer in Ikeja or an equipment dealer in Apapa.
- Enterprise earns its price when several branches or business units need separate rules, approvals and test environments.
Zoho pitches Ultimate at large, bespoke deployments. Few SMEs in Lagos or Abuja need it in year one.
Zoho One or Zoho CRM: which works out cheaper?
Zoho One bundles CRM with books, desk, campaigns, HR and dozens of other apps. The cheaper way to buy it carries a condition.
Under the all-employee model, Zoho says a business must buy Zoho One licences for every employee on payroll. A firm with eight salespeople and forty warehouse staff pays for forty-eight seats.
The flexible-user model avoids that, at a higher per-user price. We could not verify Zoho’s current naira figures for either model.
The rule of thumb is simple. If you would buy three or more Zoho apps anyway, price Zoho One. If you mainly need a sales pipeline, standalone CRM is usually leaner.
What does Zoho CRM cost after the licence?
This is where budgets slip. Four costs sit outside the per-user fee.
WhatsApp messaging
Zoho’s WhatsApp integration works in all paid editions. You buy message credits in advance and need a verified Meta business account.
Meta then charges per message by country.
For Nigeria, Meta’s rate card from 1 October 2026 lists about $0.0516 per marketing message. A utility message costs about $0.0067, as compiled by ChatMaxima. From that date, replies inside the 24-hour service window also became chargeable, according to Meta.
That matters because WhatsApp is where Nigerian customers already are. In PwC’s 2024 MSME survey, WhatsApp Business was the most-cited marketing channel, at 23%.
Telephony and storage
Built-in calling still needs a calling provider, which bills separately. Extra file storage is also an add-on above each edition’s allowance.
Payments
Many teams want invoices paid without leaving the Zoho world. Paystack offers an extension for Zoho Books covering Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. That means a Books subscription if you do not already have one.
Implementation and training
A clean setup means mapping your sales stages, importing old spreadsheets and training staff. Partners price this as a project. Zoho grades partners as Authorized, Advanced or Premium, based on revenue, retention, customer satisfaction and certifications.

What should a Zoho CRM quote in Nigeria include?
A one-line quote tells you very little. A useful one answers eight questions before you sign.
- Which edition, and how many paid users?
- Is billing monthly or annual, and in naira or dollars?
- If dollars, which exchange rate and which date?
- Is VAT included or added?
- Which add-ons are in the price: storage, WhatsApp credits, telephony?
- What does implementation cover, and what sits outside scope?
- How many hours of training, and for whom?
- What happens to the price at renewal?
Put those answers side by side and the Zoho CRM pricing Nigeria picture becomes much clearer. Two quotes with the same licence fee can differ by months of work.
What would a ten-person Lagos sales team pay?
Take an illustrative example. A ten-person team in Ikeja chooses Professional on annual billing.
Licences come to 10 × $23 × 12, or $2,760 a year. At the 12 October 2026 rate, that is roughly ₦3.68 million before VAT. Monthly billing would push the licence bill to $4,200.
Add WhatsApp credits, a calling provider and a one-off implementation project. The first-year total can easily exceed the licence line. The second year is usually cheaper, because setup is a one-time cost.
How do you avoid paying for features you will not use?
Start from the process, not the edition. Write down how a lead arrives and who calls it. Then note what a quote looks like and when a deal counts as won.
- Run the free edition or a trial with real data for two weeks.
- Buy the lowest edition that covers your written process.
- Choose annual billing only after the team is actually using the system.
- Review seats every quarter. Inactive users still cost money.
The real decision on Zoho CRM pricing Nigeria firms make is rarely about the cheapest tier. It is about matching an edition to how the team sells today. For a second opinion on scope, Riophany’s CRM and automation team scopes Zoho projects in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and the UK.
It also pays to fix what happens after a lead arrives. Our earlier piece on follow-up gaps that lose sales after ads shows how quickly unanswered enquiries go cold.
Is Zoho CRM pricing in Nigeria likely to change again?
It might. Zoho’s 2024 revision showed that local prices follow the naira over time, even when they are fixed for a period.
The safer habit is to request a dated quote and note the exchange rate on the day. Then lock in annual billing once the team uses the system daily. Buyers who track Zoho CRM pricing Nigeria-side this way are rarely surprised at renewal.
A CRM is cheap compared with the leads it keeps from leaking. The licence is the visible cost. The quiet cost is a sales team that never logs in.
